Scanning problem after a recent 8.0.0 update

And that's what triggered the bug in the scanner: the CUE sheet claims
there are four tracks (when there's only one), but no duration for three
of them. This caused the scanner to try to "look harder", which
basically restarted the analysis of the file, over and over again.

You're saying you were using the same account? It then wouldn't use
"their family thing", would it? You'd have to use the two different
accounts.

Mark Spotify/Tidal Songs as Favorite in LMS possible? (maybe in Material Skin)

Since the introduction of Spotify and Tidal in LMS I use my LMS quite often to discover new Music.
Right now, if I like a song, I would search for it on my mobile in the corresponding app (spotify/tidal) and mark it as favorite so that I can find it later. (That way also the albums I like are added to my LMS library from the online music services)

What I would wish for would be a heart at the position where currently the TrackStatRating stars are. That heart should add the song to my spotify/tidal favorites.

That would bring the two worlds (lms and online music services) much closer together in my opinion.

LMS Repack would use 9002 by default.

Hmm... in your initial posting you mentioned you changed it to 9005. How
did you do that if you don't know how to do it?

LMS won't autostart on Windows 10

Was running LMS 7.7 and for some reason LMS failed to autostart some time ago, maybe the last 6 months. I've tried everything with Google searches. LMS is in the Talks Mgr, Start tab, set to Enable. In LMW ControlPanel, Startup Options - set to Auto run at Login. I've checked for a bogus copy of the Startup folder, not present. It runs fine when started manually.

Upgraded to 7.9.3 LMS, and no difference. Still will not auto start. Other programs in the start folder do start up automatically.

One clue may be that in the Startup tab of Task Mgr, under the Startup Impact column - it says "Not measured".

And have checked the server.log file and there is no entry, until I manually start LMS.

Any hints on why this is happening? Likely a Windows issue, but maybe someone else has discovered a fix.

Podcasts - Parsing RSS Error

Hi folks! Recently began having problems with multiple podcasts from WNYC after recent server update (the update before current one I think). When selecting these podcasts, error message "failed to parse" is often displayed. Retrying several times often is successful in displaying episode list. Then selecting episode often fails. Too short timeout producing error? Other podcast apps have no problem with their feed.

My Apps - Fixed Items?

Hi - I have only a couple of Apps listed in My Apps (Spotty being the main one I'm interested in - I wish I could somehow have it on the Top Menu)

Anyway, I have Podcasts & BBC listed and I can't see how they have got there.

Oddly, Podcasts only gives me a couple of options when I select it (and it doesn't work anyway from what I can see), and it isn't the same list that you get with Radio->Podcasts.

Is there some way of me tidying this up? (Or simply put - where does it decide which apps go here?)

We listen to BBC Radio 1 only, and have that as a 'favourite' so the App isn't required. But it isn't listed anywhere in the Plugins page either...

Hit the + button (or touch & holde) on the Choose Player item and you
should be able to hide it.

Installation script for LMS 8.0

Online Music Service Integration - Merged Tidal Albums Glitch

LMS not scanning library on Mac OSX Cataline

Please search the forum for "Catalina". You have to give LMS/Perl full
disk access or it won't be allowed to scan music from places like
external disks, or your Documents folder.

QLogitechMediaServer 2.21 not supportet by QTS 4.5 anymore - any solutions?

hello everyone!

since the last update of qts to version 4.5.1.1.1480 (08.11.2020) the qlms process is automatically terminated every 3 hours. The cause is a missing signature. The same problem occurs with many other popular packages like servioo eg.

This is very annoying.

Is there possibly a solution?

If not, then the update to 4.5.1.1 must not be installed!

You lose all unofficial software!

Streamer settings desappears in LMS

Hello,
I can't access some parameters for my last streamer because the two buttons for the drive we want to select and the second to choose what parameters we want to set have desappears. So, for example, it is impossible for me to set the parameter dedicated to force volume at 100% ...

Any idea ?

Normal streamer :

Note the music works but essential setting such as DSD DoP or Endless music can't be changed.

LMS 7.9.4 and 8.0.x no longer play PCM 352 files (DXD)

This worked for years (on 7.x) until about 4 months ago and it stopped working. Now when I play a 24-352 file it appears to play, with the the time marker progressing through the track as though it is playing but nothing is sent to my DAC.

Again, this was working perfectly until four months ago with and then broke with a nightly build.
I keep waiting for an update to fix it but nothing yet so it is time to ask others.

Has anyone else experienced this or is it just me and my system?

LMS 8.0 Synology persist port change

Hi,

I'm running the latest LMS 8.0 on my Synology NAS, which is running just fine. One thing I found though is that when the default port for this package seems to be 9002, instead of the LMS default 9000. I can change it via the browser to 9000 manually, but every time I restart or update LMS it is reset to 9002. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can get it to persist properly?

How do I transfer a duet receiver frommysb.com to a local LMS 8?

Well, now the duet is connected to LMS8 running locally and is playing
both network radio (as before with mysb.com), and TIDAL playlists.

I had to do the following:
1. Connect the duet receiver to the cabled network (had to do a bit of
crawling to unplug it so I could carry it downstairs to the cabled
network...)
2. Run the following commands in net-udap, to connect the duet receiver
to the WLAN and the new LMS:
discovern
conf 1
set interface=0 wireless_mode=0 wireless_region_id=14 wireless_SSID=XXXXXXXXX wireless_wpa_on=1 wireless_keylen=1 wireless_wpa_psk="YYYYYYYY" lan_ip_mode=1 squeezecenter_address=10.10.10.7
reset
(the reason the duet receiver disappeared, was probably because it
tried to connect to the old LMS it was connected to before I moved
it to mysb.com)
3. Unplug the duet receiver from the cabled network and carry it
upstairs and plug it back into the stereo
4. I could again play TIDAL on the duet receiver. :-)

Tidal via LMS on Max2Play-Squeezebox touch has stopped

Over the past 4 days Tidal has stopped working on my Raspberry Pi 3 / Max2Play / LMS. I am playing through a Squeezebox touch. Up to this point Tidal has worked fine, with no issues. All other streaming works (Pandora, Spotty, local music). I have tried removing the account from mysqueezebox.com and the LMS, then reinstalling and get the same error. I can open Tidal, browse songs, playlists, mixes, see titles and images, but get this error when trying to play:

"Missing or invalid track ID"

Sometimes I will get a server connection error- but I don't recall the exact message. Any help, or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
