Bad rescanning performance

Hi,

newly I have the problem that the whole rescanning process takes two hours or longer. During the rescanning the web interface is not responding and slimserver.pl has a cpu usage of 100%. In the past the rescanning took just 10 minutes or so.

Do you have any ideas? I am using the Trackstat and Smartmix plugins. Attached some information about my configuration:

System

Mac Mini
2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB RAM
