Squeezebox and El Capitan - Can't seem to connect

Hi,

I've been a long term user of Squeezebox (3-4 years) and until now always managed to get it to work. However after an hour or so of trying to get LMS connecting to the handset I've given up.

The Problem

My handset will no longer connect to the LMS server on my Mac running El Capitan.

What I've tried

The handset is connected to the network and can download files. I can do a network test from the handset to the network and it passes. I upgraded the handset as an exercise and it works. I can go to Diagnostics->Network Health and it passed the tests.

I have upgraded to El Capitan which I suspect what the problem is. I was running LMS 7.7.5, I upgraded to LMS 7.7.6 and am now running 7.9.0. I've checked the log files and can't see anything in the log files beyond it printing the Perl version.

[15-10-20 19:53:01.9097] main::init (353) Starting Logitech Media Server (v7.7.6, 1445335819, Tue Oct 20 03:56:05 PDT 2015) perl 5.018002
[15-10-20 19:54:43.6200] main::init (383) Starting Logitech Media Server (v7.9.0, 1445303387, Mon Oct 19 21:01:08 PDT 2015) perl 5.018002
[15-10-20 19:54:44.8211] main::init (383) Starting Logitech Media Server (v7.9.0, 1445303387, Mon Oct 19 21:01:08 PDT 2015) perl 5.018002
[15-10-20 19:54:45.8219] main::checkDataSource (1120) Warning: Schema updated or no media found in the database, initiating scan.

You can see in the log files where I upgraded the server and restarted the LMS server.

The handset seems to connect to the network OK.

From the handset I try to make a connection to the LMS server which is at 192.168.0.105 on my network. My network is stable and has been so for a long time. There is no firewall on my Mac. The handset keeps saying it cannot make a connection and asks me to try another server. The error message is

Problem Connecting
We couldn't connect to Robs' iMac. make sure the computer is turned on and connected to the local network and that your Logitech Media Server is running.

Ive checked all of these things and still can't get a connection.

My version of El Capitan is 10.11. There are no updates to 10.11 at this time.

My perl version is

Robs-iMac:server rwillett$ perl -v

This is perl 5, version 18, subversion 2 (v5.18.2) built for darwin-thread-multi-2level
(with 2 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail)

Any suggestion of help welcomed.

Thanks,

Rob
