I have been using my Squeezebox Classic for nearly 2 years, connected to the same wireless network as my computer (Ubunto 10.04). I recently downloaded and installed the Linux Squeezebox Media Server, followed the instructions for installation, but continue to receive the "server not found" message when attempting to connect. I connect with no difficulty to "mysqueezebox.com"
I suspect that there may be a firewall problem of some type with my wireless router, but this is only a guess. I can create and enable a specific application for the firewall to allow, but have no idea what ports, etc. to specify.
When I enter the proxy address in my browser, it brings up the media server and shows my music location correctly.
I have spent hours trying to resolve this issue with no success, and would appreciate any useful inputs or suggestions!
Thanks in advance!
Ron
