USB-powered library drive "disconnects" occasionally ?

Hello

Sometimes when I am streaming music (usually to one my Touches) from LMS 7.9 on Asus TP300L Flip, the music stops playing (although SqueezeCommander app on phone registers it still playing).

I can usually get it playing again by simply disconnecting / reconnecting the HD (a WD Elements 2 TB drive).

I have ensured my power plan has USB Selected Suspend disabled (as is Sleep).

Any ideas as to why this is happening (and potential fixes) ?

OS = Win 10 64 bit (latest Aug 2016 anniversary edition build).
