Hello,
I have just pulled the trigger on updating my home IT infrastructure. I have a Synolgy NAS (DS614play) and want to have LMS running off of it 24/7 so as not to tie up my PC running Windows 10. My problem is, that I've been reading the forum for about an hour now and have taken so much info my eyes are glazed over. All I would like to know is what would be the best load to install on my NAS. I'm not really versed into tweeking scripts and such to make things better. My hats off to you smart guys out there that do get into weeds with code and such. Me? I just want to load it up and for it to work. I was about to dump my squeeze duets (for which I have three) and get a Sonos. But thought I would give it one more chance, I do like having a dedicated remote that come with Squeezebox. I was running the system off of my older windows 7 system and had some of the same issues I've seen in this forum. One of the major issues that really got under my skin was the receivers falling off of the network. So, my intent is to have it run on a dedicated server, hopefully with no issues. Please help.
