From one day another, I am facing a weird problem in Logitech Media Server on Win 10:
the server won't find any internet addresses, so when entering my login for mysqueezebox.com in the LMS control panel I get "An unexpected error occurred while validating your mysqueezebox.com account. Please make sure network connectivity is working fine.".
When using the browser, I can login at mysqueezebox.com without any problem.
Also, in the LMS control panel on tab 'Diagnostics' everything looks fine (mysqueezebox.com: 54.170.81.39/OK/OK/OK).
Similar problem in the web control: when I open the tab "plugins", it takes about ten seconds before I get the plugins page starting with this message: "Bad repository http://repos.squeezecommunity.org/extensions.xml - Couldn't resolve IP address for: repos.squeezecommunity.org".
When I just enter that address into the browser, it will show that xml-file instantly.
So I already tried this (always with a proper restart routine):
- change Windows DNS-settings from my router's IP to 8.8.8.8 (Google),
- change Windows DNS-settings directly to those from my provider,
- completely deactivate firewall,
- de-installing the server including all configs, downgrading from latest 7.9.1 to 7.7.5, (manually making sure no file is left before restarting, then re-install),
- restart the router.
I found some articles describing a similar problem on linux-machines, where people would create (or change) a file /etc/resolv.conf manually, and that did the trick.
But on Windows this doesn't seem to work (I was hopeless, I even tried THAT...).
