Change browser settings windows explorer

I don't know if is in the right section?
Any way here goes I have recently installed vortexbox on an old laptop. Had it set up OK and you can access it windows explorer and It wouldn't work on an older browser of firefox so I altered it by mistake and would like to revert to how it was before. Because its a better interface.
Don't really know where to search for this as there so many forks of squeezebox etc.
I can access from ipad with ipeng etc and its all good just wanted to know if this a simple click off button that I'm missing
