Loud hissing noise when cross-fadingfrom 16 to 24 bit

I'm *pretty* sure, all of those are the same "fade-out from 16-bit FLAC
to 24-bit FLAC Squeezebox Touch problem" (perhaps it applies to WAV as
well, I haven't tried that yet because I do not have any WAV files at
hand).

It would be nice if all those people who previously had the same issue
and were not able to pinpoint it to a certain scenario could check
whether the behaviour is indeed like I assume: Set up fade-in/fade-out
or just fade-out as fading option, then schedule a 16-bit FLAC and next
a 24-bit FLAC file and let the Touch play the playlist.
