I know that Logitech has discontinued support for its Squeezebox player line. ;<(
I've installed LogitechMediaServer on my Synology NAS to work with my Squeezebox Classic, and it works very well.
Now I'm about to buy another (secondhand) Squeezebox Classic.
I have two questions:
Does Squeezebox still depend on Logitech for firmware upgrades or downgrades?
Many thanks,
Polo

Now I'm about to buy another (secondhand) Squeezebox Classic.
I have two questions:
- I know that LMS in general can support multiple SBs playing simultaneously without them interfering with one another. Is this also the case with LMS running on a Synology NAS?
- The previous owner used it with LMS running on a PC. If the LMS version running on my Synology NAS is different to that previously used on the last owerner's PC, will the Squeezebox be able to pick up the correct version of the firmware?
Does Squeezebox still depend on Logitech for firmware upgrades or downgrades?
Many thanks,
