Hi all,
I'm trying to get ubuntu LMS working on freebsd in a jail, which is, I know, an odd configuration. I'm having some difficulties.
LMS 7.8 appears to be running ok:-
- I can access the web interface, and the web admin interface
- I can see my players in the drop down in the top-right of the web interface.
- I can play audio from the web interface, and it comes out of the speakers of the device.
However, the devices themselves (2 radios and a touch) cannot see the LMS at all - when I go to my music, i get the standard "you need to download LMS" message.
I presume my issue is related to networking but i'm struggling to understand how I would be able to see the players on the web interface, to stream to the players when pushing audio from LMS, yet not see LMS in reverse from the players.
I don't understand much about what networking is going on behind the scenes.
How does a player discover that there is a running instance of LMS on the LAN?
thanks for any tips
