Apologies for doing a bug report here - please redirect if there is a more appropriate place (e.g. a bug tracker).
Since yesterday's upgrade to LMS 7.8.1 (nightlies), I am experiencing the following issue:
Various songs - both MP3 and FLAC - play very loud annoying static noise (white noise, scratchings) at the very end of the song (last 3-5s or so, usually when audio should be silent really). One FLAC I experienced this error with was a genuine Society of Sound download, i.e. no conversion from CD/analog source on my end.
Confirmed in Squeezeplayer 7.8.0 r328 (reproducable). Think I had the same issue on my Squeezebox Touch yesterday.
Same songs played back by foobar2000 (v1.3.2) don't result in static noise.
UPDATE / LIKELY ERROR SOURCE: The issue goes away if I switch off "Fade-In/Fade-Out" (Überblendung) totally.
Didn't encounter this issue in the past two years while running LMS 7.7.x or 7.8.0 (including using Fade-In/Fade-Out).
