Disable iTunes if you don't know what it's for.

The message is coming from the "Save Playlist" plugin. Disable it if you
don't use it.

I keep getting kicked off Shairtunes

$

I'm running picoreplayer 3.5 on a raspberry pi 3.

I am running the app Shairtunes2 by Phillipe within LMS.

It is always available to connect to, and I am able to connect to it, but after a minute or so after connecting from my iphone it just drops out and I'm no longer connected.

It's worth noting that picoreplayer has its own ios integration called Shairport-sync, which I don't have enabled as when it is through LMS I'm able to view and control it through jivelite, but not when its through picoreplayer.

Anyone come across this?

How do you uninstall a plugin without the web UI (Linux)?

No, you'd have to add it to the startup parameters (sometimes defined in
something like /etc/defaults/logitechmediaserver or the like, or the
startup script itself).

LMS Running/Not Running

$

I hope the following mystery can be easily solved. I have three Rasp3B+'s each running the same version of pCP and they are configured identically, including having "Set Autostart" of LMS to yes. They have been operating beautifully for awhile but then one unit did not autostart LMS and I was unable to restart it inline or by rebooting. I ended up having to reinstall pCP on the SD card to restore LMS function.

Now a second unit has exhibited the same problem. Initially the main page will say Squeezelite and LMS are running, but when the LMS page is activated it says LMS is not running and the main page then confirms this. Restart of LMS and reboot of Raspi are to no avail.

Any clues on how to fix this without reinstalling pCP?
Thanks!

Put it right after --daemon.

Can't start LMS on Mojave Mac

Please run the following from a terminal window:

/Library/PreferencePanes/Squeezebox.prefPane/Contents/server/slimserver.pl

What would that tell you?

> How does one manually uninstall the server on a Mac? Where are the
> logs? The server log button does nothing. The information pane is blank.

The Log folder actually might be the problem: we've seen cases where
that folder wasn't writable to the LMS user, thus LMS fails to start. If
that's the case for you, you can give this script a try:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/bpx32ytk7y...sions.zip?dl=0

Download, extract, run. It'll ask for admin permissions, as it'll have
to change permissions on some folders.

I'm not even sure I should even give any advice beyond "get your system
up to date)... :-)

But anyway: Go to Settings/Advanced/Logging, enable logging for the
scanner (from the dropdown box at the top), then re-run the scan and
provide the full resulting scanner.log.

New and changed scan deleted items

I have always wondered why every time I do a "new and changed scan" I see 3 tracks deleted. I just checked the scanner log and see that 3 playlists are deleted during the scan then immediately rescanned and added. Does that seem right?

LMS internal "software updates" function - how to make it pick up 7.9.2?

Reading the Dockerfile
(https://hub.docker.com/r/justifiably...ver/dockerfile),
there's a line which says:

"# Pass in LMSDEB to override. Using a nightly release, can be updated
in place without rebuilding image.
ARG
LMSDEB=http://downloads.slimdevices.com/LogitechMediaServer_v7.9.1/logitechmediaserver_7.9.1_all.deb"

So I must assume you'd define the LMSDEB variable in the command line
launching the image.

The log file indeed suggests the Perl modules were missing. Alas: we do
ship them for this platform. That should just work.

How does it fail to be accessible? Any error message? There might be a

This is the 1st time this happen. I all ways click on the "A new version of Logitech Media Server is available. (Click here)" and it says to then use this command:

sudo dpkg -i /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/updates/logitechmediaserver_7.9.2~1559745322_amd64.deb

I did that and now I get This site can’t be reached when I got to port 9000.

Using Ubuntu Linux 18.04.2 server.

I don't remember this every happening before.

Even rebooted my server and it still don't work.

Keep on refreshing after I try things and still can't be reached.

Do a service logitechmediaserver status and got back this:

If I do service logitechmediaserver start it just comes right back with no errors but still can't go to port 9000.

Any way to fix this?

Albums not showing up

$
0

Hi,

This is my first post on this forum. Hope this thread is in the right category.

The following is the case - I have a few Nina Simone albums. All are HDTracks downloads. All albums are in the same library folder, on my Synology NAS with LMS 7.9.2, and in the same Nina Simone folder (see pic below).
And all albums are handled the same, by renaming all tracks to the same format and running them all through "MusicBrainz Picard", so that they have the correct tags.
But, with Nina Simone only the "Baltimore" album shows up and "Pastel Blues" doesn't (see pic below). In recent years I even had some Nina Simone CD rips, in the same folder, but these don't show up as well.
For now, it only happens with this artist.

Has anybody any clues / tips / solution ?

Thank in advance.

Are you setting the time through the web or player UI? Could you try the
other option? Is your LMS set to use 24h but you're using am/pm or
something?
