Did you take over maintenance of the plugin? Would it be possible/worth

I have a setup of 3 raspPis all running picoreplayer in my home, pulling from an LMS server (desktop windows 7pc) all controlled by iPeng. I had, when first setting everything up, setup mysqueezebox.com and everything worked beautifully for more than a year. I changed my Tidal subscription from hifi to just premium, and Tidal stopped working. I can still play music from the server, I can still find the tidal songs through the interface, it just doesn't actually output sound and will kind of skip from track to track.
I did some searching and it seemed like and LMS setting of "Direct streaming" vs "Proxied streaming" was the solution for some people, but this hasn't worked for me. I'm curious if this is a Tidal problem because of my lower subscription (and if so, i'll probably switch streaming services) or a setting problem on my side.
The strange part is that it seems like the connection from LMS to Mysqueezebox.com isn't working. I can enter my username and password and it seems to accept it, but then I don't see the devices as "active" through mysqueezebox.com. I've tried the old off/on logout/login with everything to no benefit.
seems like this thread talks about some of the topics, but without the same issue

I am running pCP 6 on a pI 1 feeding into a PCM 2704 Dac set up as USB audio and output front:CARD=DAC,DEV=0. That works fine but not when I change DAC to a ES9018K2M SA9023 USB DAC. then I get no sound. What am I doing wrong.

That's... a lot. How large is your library? What is your memory setting
in Settings/Advanced/Performance?
> Is there any reason why LMS would require so much RAM? ... Does LMS

In the "maximum" memory configuration it would use large buffers to keep
most of the library data in memory. And it takes advantage of more
memory to cache information in many other places. But still, 1.1GB seems
like too much.

A procedure i have used to update to 8.0 on other pi-based servers failed today. I use max2play, and simply use the field to specify the alternative source. This has worked with 8.0 in the past, and still works when I specify the latest nightly this way, but when I tried this morning, it does not return a package and the max2play script says version LMS Version does not exist.
Specified source (copied as a link) is:
http://downloads-origin.slimdevices....050612_arm.deb
This download link does seem to download the source. I can try to install manually, but thought I would check if there is a package problem first.
Thanks in advance.

edit:
http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nig...050612_all.deb
does downloads just fine.

I've been using synchronised players for years but only stumbled upon this recently. In this example there are 3 synched players, 2 Radios and one Touch. The Radios are both on standby, the Touch is playing. If I now turn off one of the Radios entirely by long press on the power button the Touch stops playing and can not be convinced to start again for a good while. I looks like LMS can't distinguish pressing the power button on the Radio briefly - thus turning the Radio on - from a long press shutting the Radio down.
In the server log it looks like this (full log attached below):

I suspect this is not intended? Synching is fairly robust against switching players to/from standby and even just disconnecting the power but a proper shutdown doesn't work? Shouldn't LMS detect the missing player?

Good morning...
Just installed the nightly build of Logitech Media Server logitechmediaserver-7.9.3-0.1.1580910396.noarch.rpm on OpenSuse Tumbleweed but cannot get the service to start. I had run into similar problems on Fedora 30 but was able to fix them using the following:
ln -sf /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/Slim /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/Slim
I tried this on Tumbleweed but had to create the directories under /usr/lib64 before the command would take, but still cannot start the service.
Here's what I'm getting:

Good Morning,
I started LMS today and went to my usual setting of random play - songs.
I noticed immediately that LMS had selected only tracks from the last two albums added to my music library.
I tried to clear the selections, but the moment I selected random play again, the same tracks appeared in the same order.
I have not had this problem before and I have not changed any settings.
I am using version 7.9.2.
I don't have "Don't Stop The Music" selected at this time. At least, it's not ticked on the main settings.
If I stop random play, I can return to playing any track from any album in the music library.
Any suggestions as to how I sort this problem out.
I would point out, I am not a "computer geek", I have too many grey hairs and I don't like going where angels fear to tread, therefore I am looking for a simple solution to this problem.
I note there is version 7.9.3 available, but until I have this problem sorted I didn't want to commplicate matters.
Many thanks

Check server.log and scanner.log for any hints about the problem. Some
more information about your system might be helpful, too. Incl. how far
the scan would go, whether it's always crashing in the same place etc.

Hello, I'm new to LMS/Squeezelite/etc. and I'm having a bit of trouble. I've successfully set up two Raspberry Pis running piCorePlayer—one with LMS, and one as a client. Both are connected to speakers.
If I play music on one speaker at a time, everything appears to work flawlessly. But when I try to synchronize them, I get the same behavior every time: the speaker hooked up to the LMS Pi (named SPEAKER1 in the below log) drops out after about 33 seconds, and the progress bar goes back to zero. The speaker hooked up to the Squeezelite client Pi keeps playing, but then drops out after about 2 minutes. I cannot get the synced set of speakers to complete a song, ever, and they always drop out at the same time, no matter what song I'm playing. Both are connected over Ethernet.
I''m unable to include a pastebin link of my log (and don't want to paste the whole thing here), so log is in the post below this one, if it helps.
Anyone have any idea what might be happening here, and how I can fix it?

It might be the rather old Perl version we're shipping with LMS on
Windows. Perl and Chrome (and whatever other browser) don't share those
SSL libraries.

A few days ago I did an update to 7.9.2 and activated Spotty as I got a Spotify subscription. I also updated the software on the SBT itself.
Since then, I get the occasional (perhaps one in 10) tracks that won't play past around 30 seconds and the SBT goes on to the next track.
My music library is a mixture of ALAC and FLAC, all at 44.1/16. If I play that track again, it still stops at the same point each time.
This has so far only happened with my own music, not Spotify, but I haven't used that enough to know if Spotify also has the problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks

!!!!!!! is the name of the first (13 second) track.
I purchased the album from iTunes (something I do very rarely), downloaded it and added it to my LMS library (as well as my JRiver library). I edited several of the tags including genre. Both iTunes and JRiver recognize the genre for this track (and all others on the album) as "rock/pop." LMS insists this track has no genre, despite a number of rescans including a complete rescan.
Is it the name/length of the track? I tried sticking an "01" before the exclamation points, but it didn't seem to help.
Not a huge problem but annoying.

I think you're specifically talking about Unicode display on the
Classic/Transporter/Boom? Unfortunately no recent Perl version I'm aware
of has support for this. I believe at some point it became too painful
to compile that module (Font::FreeType). The last Perl version I see we
have it for is Perl 5.16 - which is pretty old.
That said I see that the version we used to use is from 2004 - but there
are more recent versions from 2018. Maybe it would be possible to
compile the latest for recent Perl versions...
