So another missing album art thread. I tried searching but haven't found a solution to my problem.
Basically I have started losing album artwork. I forget the exact circumstances when it started (it was months ago now), but I think it was coincident with adding some new audio files. Now, depending on the player, I have little or no artwork at all.
I have a Touch and Radio connected via a ReadyNAS running LMS. Currently running 7.7.3-r16662 on touch, 7.7.3 on LMS, and 7.7.2-r9663 on the Radio (which for some reason claims to be up to date with this), but the problem was the same before the recent update.
My files are predominontly FLAC with a smattering of MP3s. Generally all have embedded images and a folder.jpg. All images are approx 500 x 500 and not large file sizes. I do not have specific track images, just single album covers. All the tags were set, and embedding done, with various versions of Mp3Tag over the years.
On the LMS web interface on my Laptop only a few images are displayed. On my HTC Phone using Squeeze Controller, the Touch and the Radio, there are no images whatsoeve since updating to 7.7.3. Strangely, the touch no longer displays menu icons for the App Gallery or the radio stations types, but they all appear to work on the Radio.
I've tried clearing and re-scanning the library (before and after the software updates). When it pre-caches artwork it finds roughly the right number of images (240 thumbs for 252 albums, which sounds about right as some albums are duplicates owing to multi-CDs; one or two intentionally have no covers).
I can see no pattern to the missing images. It seems unrelated to music file type, image file type, file size, etc. etc.
I'm starting to pull my hair out over this and these little niggles are causing me to start to fall out of love with the SB product. Can anybody help?
