Would you see the same behaviour with the default screensavers?

What kind of content? Is this Radios only? All of them?

There's one message about a funny-link.jpg or similar. Are you scanning
image folders, or music only? If you only want music, then make sure you
disable scanning of images and videos in the settings (can be defined
for every path entered).
If you wanted to scan that image, could you drop me a copy so I can
investigate:

Using mysqueezebox.com apps both with Deezer and with Tidal (even after changing the stream quality setting to MP3 or FLAC in the Tidal app settings) files always show as only MP3 and never FLAC.
In the pc desktop versions of Deezer and Tidal and also in Sonos they show and play as FLAC. Have a Deezer Elite and a Tidal HIFI account.
This occurs when running Tiny LMS on the Touch.
Any suggestions, ideas, or input appreciated!
I remember this happening before and it was mysqueezebox.com setting that Michael fixed and it worked for a while.

Good day,
I have 4 Raspberry Pi 3 in use (all with max2play image, as squeezelight player, one as Logitech media server). The MP3's are on a NAS (QNAP TS-119). On the whole I was able to cope with the setup as a multiroom system. For 2 problems I have found so far no solution:
1. Although the MP3's and M3U's are played, I can not save new playlists. In Telnet with "playlist save name" I get a writeError. This is probably the account, but the account, which I registered for the Samba share to the NAS in max2play registered with Admin rights and should thereby have write rights to the directories. Or the LMS tries internally with another account? Can one help me?
2. I will use a radio remote control. I want to program a function "play next playlist". All this is done via the CLI interface. What is not: Calling "playlist name ?" Returns a blank value, even though a Playlist with "playlist start Beatles" has started and is running. The funny thing is that when I start the Playlist over the web front end of the LMS, the name is correctly determined. I thought that exactly the same command "playlist start Beatles" is used there. What is different?
I hope that someone can give me the decisive tips.
regards
PetiJ

There is always the option to try it with a virtual machine running
linux - you can mount your network share in there and you could see if it
is the file server or the LMS installation on Windows.
If it works under Linux with network share mounted in Linux, you can
rerun the scan but with a shared folder which points to your mapped
network folder under Windows - if this works, the problem is with the
windows LMS installation (or configuration).

What's the full version string (perl -v)?

Make sure it's the latest, just to be sure.
Then try to run LMS from the command line with the --d_startup flag set
(or add that flag to the startup parameters). This should tell you where
it fails.

Only horizontal resizing - what would be nice is an automatic vertical
resizing of the info panel at the bottom when the text is wrapped.
But no serious issue to spoend much time on it.

I bought a Google Home device and LMS saw it no prob. I then reset it and set it up a second time tied to my wife's google sign in. I now show the device 2x in my list. It shows with 2 different MAC addresses. I can select either to play through the unit, but was hoping someone could tell me how to delete one of the entries...or both and let it just discover the one.
Thanks!

Hi,
I have a Raspberry 3 with a working sqeezelite installation. LMS runs on a Synology nas.
Can anybody give me an example how to command squeezelite to play a specific album?
I can (via pylms (
https://github.com/jinglemansweep/PyLMS)) use play and stop the player, but i just cant find out how to command to play an album (or webradio).
This is what i use to stop playing :
pylms --host 192.168.1.2 --device AnyNameYouWannaGiveIt stop
I think it should work wit "playlist_add(item)" but i dont know what to write into (item) (all i tested did not work)
I do not need to us pylms, if you have a solution that works differently i would also be very pleased ;-)

Hello All,
Having an issue trying to get my favorite podcast to play through LMS Server. I navigate through the Radio search function to the APM Marketplace episodes. Once I click on a specific episode it goes through the motions of playing but no audio. After 18-20 sec. it automatically stops. Other podcasts play without issue. I've tried manually adding the podcast through server settings/ podcast tab with no success. Any suggestions?

Hello,
After the latest update to 7.9.0 - 1481125532 I've run into a couple of problems:
1. LMS sometimes halts after playing an album or playlist.
2. LMS becomes unresponsive when trying to navigate to Dynamic Playlists.
Here's the log for the 2nd problem.
I guess something went wrong during the update, but I don't know how to fix it.

Hi,
I´m using Logitech Squeezebox Media Server v 7.7.5 on WIN7 Pro x64 System.
Since some time only the "Light" or "Classic" Web-Interface can to be choosed
but no longer "Standard" which is the most convenient Interface version.
In the light and classic version additionally no music-folders or music-titles can be added to the playlist.
I cannot tell what happened or what have I done in error that produces such issues.
Can someone help please?
Is there perhaps a newer Media Server version available ?
Many thanks.

Two reasons:
1) To have digital radio available? Unless all DAB+ stations are
available via streaming, than this is not necessary. But I think the
sound quality is better vie DAB+ than internet streaming (No, I will not
post ti=his in the audiophile forum - they are to busy there.)
2) to have radio when internet is not available

When viewing by genre, is there a way to do it by album rather than by artists? At this time of year I add my Holiday genre to the favorites menu to easily access this music, but what I see is a list of artists. Since a lot of my Christmas albums are compilations it's an awkward way to navigate.

Unfortunately you can't store random mixes with their parameters.

Yes, most security suites add something to the browser or in between the
browser and the internet to protect it from known vulnerabilities. And
in our case it's blocking a bit too much.

The suggestion you never wanted to hear: run LMS on the Mac.
